Yummy Yummy Yummy Shower Gel

I will always remember this shower gel as one of the first three shower gels I received (including Fruity Beauty and Slammer), and I had to go to the post office to go and pick it up. I was so excited that I had actually purchased Lush Kitchen products and this started off my obsession with the Lush Kitchen. And when I say obsession, I mean waking up every morning at 07:45 to get ready to add a ton of stuff to my basket and pay before anything sold out.

When I opened my Lush Kitchen parcel containing these three shower gels, I noticed that my Yummy Yummy Yummy shower gel was slightly broken and some of the shower gel had leaked in the box, making some very sticky and pink pieces of styrofoam. I wasn't happy and it ruined a completely good photo opportunity for the blog where I show you the colour of the shower gel. As soon as I turned the bottle on it's side, the shower would come pouring out. Luckily, I store all of my shower gels in a box, it just means that I can't take it anywhere with me when I'm travelling.

Anyway, the fact that it's broken is the only negative that I can say about this product, and that negative may only apply to my bottle.

The consistency of this shower gel is quite runny (but again, because the bottle is broken, I don't know if water from the shower has gotten into the bottle and mixed with the gel and made it more watery than it should be). But don't be put off by the runniness. The consistency is that of a shower cream more than a gel and I had to use slightly more than usual to get a really nice lather - think the same consistency as the Ghost shower gel.

For this product, Lush wanted to capture the scent of strawberries and cream. I find that this is such a hard smell to create. I've tried so many products that were supposed to be strawberries and cream scented but ended up disappointing me.

This however, doesn't.

Yummy Yummy Yummy smells wondrous. It smells gorgeous. It smells edible. It smells yummy. With a peachy colour liquid, it genuinely looks like you mashed some strawberries up, got a load of cream and mixed it altogether. I think the only thing Lush could improve on here is maybe trying to encapsulate the strawberry smell more. It is there, the aroma of strawberries is definitely there but I think it could be slightly stronger to really get that strawberries and cream smell. Even though this could be improved, it doesn't change the fact that this shower gel is fantastic.

Whilst using this product, your covered in a silky and soapy lather, you're covered in a scent that you never want to wash away. After stepping out of the shower, the smell of Yummy Yummy Yummy lasts for about half an hour on your skin so the longevity isn't that bad. Using this as a bubble bath is brilliant too, the smell lingers on your skin for longer and you get to bathe in a scrumptious bubble bath.

I definitely recommend that you buy this shower gel as the silky lather makes your skin feel slightly softer and it smells amazing. What more could you possibly want out of a shower gel? I certainly don't know.
