Ghost Shower Gel

I'm quite easy when it comes to scents; there isn't really a particular scent of shower gel or anything like that that I absolutely hate. I might have favourite aromas - CITRUS!!! - but I will never not give anything a go because of the way it could smell.

Ghost is one of those ones that a few people dislike because of it's overly-floral smell but I actually really like this product. And it's not surprising that this shower gel smells over-florally with the ingredients that's in it: dove orchid infusion, rose water, jasmine absolute, ylang ylang oil and neroli oil.

Rose water can help calm the skin and reduce redness and you can definitely smell this ingredient when you open Ghost.

Jasmine is used in aromatherapy for treating sensitive skin, muscle pains, depression and stress. With it's rich, floral aroma, it's work brilliantly alongside the rose water.

The ylang ylang oil that is also used in this shower gel adds to the floral aroma. It has a sweet floral smell and is also used in aromatherapy - like jasmine oil - to help with depression and stress. The last ingredient that helps with the floral smell is the neroli oil.

Neroli oil gives off the aroma of a fresh nature, floral scent and this ingredient mixed together with the other three is what makes the Ghost shower gel. That is four ingredients right there that are floral, four ingredients. So that should give you an idea to how strong this shower gel smells.

If you don't like floral smells, then I'm sorry, this Lush product is definitely not for you, but for those of you who don't mind floral scents, then carry on reading.

As if the gorgeous scent wasn't enough, Lush also includes jojoba oil to make the shower gel moisturising. I wouldn't say that Ghost is very moisturising, my skin definitely did feel slightly softer but not that compared to the Buffy Body Butter.

Ghost has a very thin consistency - much like The Comforter shower cream. I did need to use a little bit more gel than usual to get the nice, thick lather that I wanted but not too much more that I felt like it was going to be a waste.

Snowflake lustre is another ingredient that is included in this product. Don't worry, you're not going to get covered in glitter whilst using the Ghost shower gel; I didn't even notice any glitter on my skin whilst I was using it. I could only see the glitter in the bottle and when I had squeezed the gel onto my scrunchie, after that: nothing.

This is a fantastic shower gel is you love floral smells, it may be the perfect one for you perhaps. Ghost is one of those shower gels that you forget all about for a while and then use it and you wonder why you ever stopped. I love this shower gel, I'm just sad that it's only available when the Lush Kitchen bring it out, it needs to become a permanent fixture in my collection.
